Is a mark of history:
No messing and no mystery.
Concession to longevity
In partnership with levity;
The been-there/seen-it/ done-it thing
A strictly private way of thinking,
Caught between a private grief
That only those who shared believe,
And modern reinterpretation
In the name of Education,
Hearing what you’ve learned before
As though the passage of the years
Entitles theft of history.
*A phrase tattooed on my soul- in respect of the sometimes-extraordinary judgements we pass quite unwittingly on those who think differently to ourselves.
